Super Falcons Coach Sir Justine P. Madugu Honoured for Leadership, Women’s Football Development in Nigeria

The Network of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria for Leadership and Good Governance (NCSNLGG) has conferred a special honour on the head coach of Nigeria’s senior women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, Sir Justine P. Madugu.
The award, presented at a brief ceremony in Yola, Adamawa State capital, recognised Coach Madugu’s exemplary leadership, discipline, and unwavering dedication to the growth of women’s football in Nigeria.Mrs. Juliet Omale, National Coordinator of the network, led the presentation of a souvenir symbolising good leadership. She noted that the honour was not merely for sporting achievements but for the coach’s role in inspiring a generation of young female athletes and instilling a culture of excellence, resilience, and national pride.
“Coach Madugu has demonstrated that true leadership goes beyond tactics and wins. It is about character, discipline, and the ability to lift others,” Mrs. Omale said. “Our network celebrates him as a model of good governance in the sporting sector.”Accepting the award, an emotionally touched Sir Justine P. Madugu expressed deep gratitude to the civil society organisation for the recognition.
