Vunobolki Interface with Religious Groups, Donates 10 million Naira, Seeks Unity and Inclusive Governance in Adamawa

 

Yola, Adamawa State - April 27, 2026

PDP Gubernatorial aspirant, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, on Monday April 27, 2026 embarked on a series of high-level consultative visits to key religious bodies in Adamawa State, engaging both Muslim Council of Nigerin and the Christiian Association of Nigeria in a bid to promote unity, inclusiveness, and collective progress.

His first stop was the Adamawa State Muslim Council in Yola, where he met with Muslim Leaders and clerics to formally present his ambition and seek spiritual guidance, prayers (du’a), and support. Addressing the council, Vunobolki emphasized the importance of beginning his political journey with religious stakeholders, noting their critical role in shaping societal values and fostering peace.

He reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, fairness, and equality, pledging to uphold these principles if elected.

Responding on behalf of the council, the Chairman Mallam Gambo M. Jika warmly welcomed the delegation and commended Vunobolki for prioritizing engagement with the council. He also acknowledged Vunobolki’s past contributions during his tenure as Coordinator of the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), describing him as “a son of the council,” a man of integrity, a tested and trusted leader. The council offered prayers for his ambition and pledged support.

Later in the day, Vunobolki also visited the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa State Chapter, at its Secretariat in Yola, where he was received by Chairman Rev. Bulus Manzo and other senior church leaders.

In his welcome remarks, Rev. Manzo also praised Vunobolki’s leadership during his time with the MCRP, noting the project’s transformative impact across communities. He described the aspirant as a humanitarian leader whose transparency, compassion, and dedication to service have distinguished him in public life.

CAN officials further commended his role in promoting peace, development, and support for vulnerable populations, highlighting his integrity and accountability as defining attributes of his leadership.

Speaking during the meeting, Vunobolki described the visit as a “homecoming” and reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance, ethnic and religious tolerance, and equitable representation. He stressed the need for unity in Adamawa State, assuring the Christian community of his dedication to fairness, justice, and service to all, regardless of religious or ethnic background.

The association, in turn, encouraged him to sustain his advocacy for peaceful coexistence and inclusiveness, describing him as a capable and trustworthy leader with the vision to lead the state. They urged him to remain steadfast in his service to humanity.

Before leaving, Vunobolki donated 5 Million Naira to each groups in support of the activities of the organisation.

Concluding his engagements for the day, Vunobolki attended the kickoff of the Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza Football Competition at St. Peter Minor Seminary, Yola. The event featured a match between teams from Gombi and Mayo Belwa Catholic Deaneries. His presence, organizers noted, was in honour of Bishop Mamza and Vunobolki's commitment to youth development and sports
