Yola, Adamawa State – February 25, 2026

In the wake of fresh assaults on communities in Madagali and Hong Local Government Areas, Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri CON, has issued a resounding warning to criminal elements, telling them to "stay clear" of the state or face the full force of the law.

The Governor, in a strongly worded statement, condemned the recent attacks, labeling them "cowardly acts of terrorism" and vowing that his administration would not allow such incidents to reverse the peace and stability achieved in the region.

"We will not let terrorists undermine our efforts to restore peace and stability," Governor Fintiri declared. "I warn perpetrators: desist from these senseless attacks or face the full weight of our collective resolve."

The statement, which was made available to newsmen by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, served as a direct message to both the hoodlums responsible for the attacks and the citizens of Adamawa.

Governor Fintiri moved to reassure residents who may be living in fear following the incidents, reaffirming his administration's unwavering commitment to eradicating terror. He drew confidence from past successes in the fight against insecurity.

"We have done this before, and we're determined to do it again," the Governor stated, emphasizing that the government would not relent until peace is fully restored.

He outlined that his administration is already collaborating closely with security agencies to ensure the protection of all citizens and to ensure that the perpetrators of these attacks are swiftly brought to justice.

Addressing the people of Madagali, Hong, and the state at large, the Governor urged them not to be cowed by the violence but to go about their legitimate businesses with confidence.

"Do not be afraid. We have your back," Governor Fintiri assured them. "We'll protect you and your livelihoods."

The Governor took a moment to commend the security personnel on the ground for their dedication, courage, and the sacrifices they continue to make in safeguarding the state. He pledged that the government would continue to provide them with the necessary support to carry out their duties effectively.

In a final appeal for unity, Governor Fintiri called on all citizens of Adamawa to stand with the government during this challenging time. He expressed firm belief that a collective approach is the only way to achieve lasting peace.

"Together, we'll triumph over terrorism and build a brighter future for our state," he concluded.
