Maurice Vunobolki Shows Solidarity with Lamurde Attack Survivors

 Lamurde, Adamawa State - December 17, 2025

In a quiet but powerful demonstration of compassion, High Chief Maurice Vunobolki, PhD, FCA,  the Dyapa Bwatiye on 16 December 2025, paid a solidarity visit to survivors of the recent Lamurde attack receiving treatment at Specialist Hospital Dan Koli and General Hospital Numan, in northeastern Nigeria.

His visit was about humanity: moving from bed to bed,  Vunobolki personally engaged with injured men, women, and children, listening to their stories, offering prayers, and speaking words of reassurance at a moment when many are still grappling with pain, fear, and loss.

For the patients, the presence of this respected leader carried profound meaning. “You are not alone,” his message conveyed a reminder that beyond the hospital walls, their community stands with them.

Chief Vunobolki also provided direct financial assistance to support medical care and related needs for the patients and their families, easing some of the immediate burdens caused by the attack. Hospital staff described the gesture as timely and deeply encouraging, noting that such support can make a tangible difference in recovery, both physically and emotionally.

“This is leadership rooted in empathy,” one hospital official remarked. “He did not come for recognition, but to share in the pain of the people and offer hope in times like this."

Widely known for his cross-community engagement, Chief Vunobolki’s intervention transcended ethnic, religious, and social divides, reinforcing a message of unity at a time when violence has strained communal bonds. His actions reflect a broader philosophy of service that prioritizes healing, dignity, and shared humanity.

As Nigeria continues to confront cycles of insecurity, moments like this offer a counter-narrative, one where leadership is measured not by power or politics, but by presence, compassion, and the willingness to stand with the people.

For the patients in Dan Koli and Numan, the visit may not erase the trauma of the attack, but it has given them consolation and hope.
