Yola, Adamawa - October 1, 2025
As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Adamawa State Directorate, has urged citizens to embrace a renewed sense of responsibility, patriotism, and value-driven citizenship that reflects the ideals upon which the nation was founded.
Speaking at the commemoration, the State Director of NOA, Mr. Richard Bala Dangari, described the anniversary as a moment for reflection and celebration of unity, tolerance, progress, and development. He noted that while the country continues to face challenges, independence remains a priceless gift that should inspire gratitude and responsibility among Nigerians.
“Our Independence Day is an occasion when the entire nation resonates with the spirit of nationalism and patriotism. It serves as a powerful reminder of our liberation from colonial rule and the responsibilities passed down by our founding fathers,” Dangari said.He called on Nigerians to see the nation’s diversity as a source of strength, stressing that unity remains the country’s greatest asset. Dangari also expressed optimism in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which he said has the capacity to steer Nigeria toward recovery and prosperity.
“Our diversity is the beauty of our country, and our unity is our strength. That is what makes Nigeria the most prominent nation in Africa,” he added.
The NOA director further commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State for what he described as exemplary leadership and commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy. He pledged the agency’s partnership with the state government to document developmental projects for posterity.
“Governor Fintiri has proven to be a leader per excellence, demonstrating courage, precision, and experience in governance. His achievements have placed Adamawa on a path of progress and earned him recognition as an achiever,” Dangari noted.
He reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to championing value reorientation and civic responsibility among Nigerians in order to build a more united and prosperous nation.
