NOA Launches Nationwide Enlightenment Campaign, Engages Fufore Emirate in Adamawa

 

Fufore, Adamawa State – September 2, 2025

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched a comprehensive nationwide sensitization campaign, bringing its advocacy on critical national issues to the Fufore Emirate Council in Adamawa State.

The campaign, which took place on Monday, focuses on five key thematic areas:

  • Dissemination of Government Policies, Programmes, and Activities

  • National Values Re-orientation for students and youths, targeting negative social vices.

  • Flood Mitigation and Disaster Preparedness

  • Promotion of the Nigerian Identity and National Symbols

  • National Security Awareness and Improved Community Vigilance

  • Representing the NOA Director-General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the Adamawa State Director, Mr. Richard Bala Dangari, outlined the campaign's scope. He stated that the initiative is designed to reach all Nigerians through town hall meetings, school sensitization programs, community engagements, motor park and market rallies, and robust media coverage across all 36 states, the FCT, and 774 local government areas.

Mr. Dangari also commended the Adamawa State Government, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for its inclusive approach to governance.

The Emir of Fufore, represented by the District Head of Malabu, Alhaji Aliyu Hammawa Malabu, thanked the NOA for the initiative and pledged the emirate's full support. The event was attended by a broad cross-section of community leaders, including the 12 district heads of the emirate, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for the local government, the Muslim Council Chairman, and representatives of the police and other security agencies.

In a related activity, the State Director paid an advocacy visit to the District Head of Yola South, Alhaji Zubairu Adamu Bawuru, to inform him of the same national campaign. The District Head appreciated the NOA and pledged his community's continued support and assistance for the success of the initiative.
