Adamawa Police Command Arrests 28-Year-Old Man for Alleged Rape of Minor

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced the arrest of one Aliyu Musa, 28, of Mubi town, for the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl. This arrest is part of the Command's sustained efforts to combat sexual and gender-based violence and to protect vulnerable members of the community.
According to a statement from the Command's Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the arrest followed a report filed at the Mubi South Divisional Police Headquarters on September 12, 2025, in response to a complaint by the victim, a 14-year-old salesgirl, who had sought shelter from the rain in the suspect's shop on September 11, 2025.
It was alleged that the suspect, Aliyu Musa, exploited the situation by luring the minor into an inner section of his shop, where he forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her. Following the act, the suspect allegedly attempted to induce the victim's silence by offering her money and promising to buy her a mobile phone.The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc(+), has ordered a discreet and thorough investigation into the matter. CP Morris has assured the public that the case will be diligently prosecuted to secure justice for the victim.The Commissioner strongly condemned the act, reiterating the Command's zero-tolerance stance on sexual violence, particularly against children. He urged parents, guardians, and community leaders to prioritize educating children on personal safety measures. The public is also encouraged to report any suspicious or criminal activities to the nearest security agency promptly and without fear.Hicia News
