In a statement released to the press by Manugarcha Daniel, Deputy Director, Media and Communications, in marking the occasion, the State Director, Mr. Richard Bala Dangari hailed Nigerian youths as pivotal drivers of sustainable development. "Our youth are not merely tomorrow's leaders; they are today’s active change-makers," Dangari declared, applauding their commitment to community projects, entrepreneurship, environmental protection, civic engagement, and digital innovation.
The commemoration underscores youth-led grassroots initiatives as essential to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and driving progress beyond the 2030 Agendas (SDGs) and shaping progress beyond the 2030 Agenda. The NOA emphasized that young Nigerians' creativity and resilience are central to building a sustainable future.
Dangari called on all stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society, the private sector, and traditional and religious institutions, to "support and invest in youth-driven solutions" addressing pressing local and global challenges.
To mark the day, the NOA Adamawa Directorate is hosting interactive sessions, media engagements, and community outreach programs. These activities aim to inspire young people to take ownership of development processes in contributing to nation-building.
"The NOA reaffirms its belief that empowered youth, guided by strong values and patriotism, are fundamental to achieving a prosperous, united, and peaceful Nigeria," the statement concluded.
