Governor Fintiri Mourns Former Nigeria Customs Boss, Ahmed Musdafa

Yola, Adamawa - August 28, 2025

The Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri CON, has condoled with the Musdafa royal family of the Fombina Kingdom over the passing of their son, Ahmed Aliyu Musdafa, former Controller General of the Nigeria Customs Service. 

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the Governor described Musdafa's death as shocking, praising his dedication, diligence, and exemplary service to the nation.

While condoling with the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, brother of the deceased, the Governor urged the Royal father and the entire family to be consoled by the fact that their brother and son lived a long and fulfilled life as an accomplished public servant who rose to become the nation's Customs Boss and notable community leader.

"Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. His exemplary service and unwavering commitment to duty will be remembered and cherished by all, especially his outstanding contributions, his exemplary service, and his dedication to the nation. We honor his memory, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all.”

"Alhaji Ahmed has returned to his Creator in peace and contentment, having produced worthy children who will proudly carry on his legacy of worthy and selfless service to their community, state, and country". 

The Governor concluded by praying to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul eternal rest in Aljannah and to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
