CATHOLIC YOUTH ORGANISATION OF NIGERIA, JOS ECCLESIASTICAL PROVINCE GEAR UP FOR NATIONAL CELEBRATIONS

As preparations intensify for major Catholic youth events in Nigeria, the Provincial Chaplain of Youths, Fr. Naron Homsuk Loetuknaan, has led a delegation on an advocacy visit to the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza, ahead of the National Youth Day 2026 scheduled to hold in Jos, Plateau State.
The visit, which included other diocesan chaplains and provincial youth executive members, sought the Bishop’s blessings, guidance, and support for a successful outing. The team also paid a courtesy call on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman, Rev. Dr. Joel Manzo, fostering stronger ecumenical collaboration in preparation for the celebration.Meanwhile, the Provincial Pre-National Youth Day program will officially commence today at St. Peter’s Minor Seminary, Yola,. The opening Mass, ushering in days of spiritual renewal, formation, and youthful fellowship will be held on Friday August 15, 2025.The Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON) will mark its 40th Anniversary and National Rally 2025 from Wednesday, 27th August to Sunday, 31st August, 2025, in the Catholic Diocese of Awka, Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Anambra State.The celebration will draw thousands of Catholic youths from across the country for a week of spiritual formation, leadership training, cultural displays, and anniversary festivities, commemorating four decades of CYON’s vibrant contribution to the Church and nation-building.With these activities lined up, Catholic youths nationwide are set for a season of faith-filled encounters, renewal of commitment, and joyful celebration under the banner.Titus Innocent Isinga, Hicia News
