University of Port Harcourt Confers Honorary Doctorate on Governor Fintiri

Port Harcourt, Nigeria - The University of Port Harcourt has announced the conferral of an honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Public Administration on Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, in recognition of his exemplary leadership and distinguished public service.

According to an official statement released by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the University's Registrar and Secretary to Council, Dr. Gloria Chindah, confirmed that the honor will be formally conferred during the institution's 35th Convocation Ceremony on July 26, 2025.

"This prestigious recognition from one of Nigeria's foremost institutions humbles me deeply. I accept this honorary doctorate not just as a personal honor, but as a challenge to redouble my efforts in serving the people of Adamawa State and Nigeria."
