The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Adamawa State partnered with Rainbow Global Consult Limited to organize a one-day capacity-building workshop titled “Promoting Integrity and Accountability Through the Code of Conduct.” Held on Wednesday at the NOA State Directorate conference hall, the event aimed to deepen staff understanding of ethical public service and compliance with Nigeria’s Code of Conduct for public officers.

NOA Adamawa State Director, Mr. Richard Bala Dangari, underscored the agency’s dedication to transparency and ethical governance in his keynote address. “This training reinforces our mandate to ensure public servants uphold integrity—a non-negotiable pillar of national development,” he stated.

Barr. Suraiya Umar Adamu, a legal expert and representative of Rainbow Consult, outlined the legal framework of the Code of Conduct, emphasizing its role in curbing government excesses and promoting accountability. She particularly highlighted the significance of asset declaration by public officials.

The workshop featured interactive discussions, with NOA staff exploring practical ways to integrate Code of Conduct principles into their daily operations and community outreach. Participants called for sustained collaboration between NOA and stakeholders to institutionalize ethical standards across all levels of governance.
