NAHCON Reviews 2025 Hajj in Makkah, States Call for Enhanced Collaboration

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) convened its annual Post-Arafat Stakeholders’ Meeting in Makkah to evaluate the 2025 Hajj and strategize for 2026 operations.
Representing all 36 State Executive Secretaries and the FCT, Mallam Abubakar Salihu of Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission addressed the assembly.While commending NAHCON’s coordination success, Salihu emphasized critical areas for improvement:1. Strengthened Collaboration: Deeper partnership between NAHCON and state boards
2. Logistics & Welfare: Enhanced pilgrim support systems
3. Medical Services: Upgraded health provisions
4. Timely Engagement: Proactive stakeholder consultations
In response, NAHCON Chairman Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman acknowledged the feedback, stating: "We value state partnerships and will integrate all recommendations into 2026 Hajj planning for continuous improvement."
The Post-Arafat meeting—a cornerstone of NAHCON’s commitment to transparency—aims to optimize outcomes for Nigerian pilgrims through structured annual reviews.
