Yoal, Adamawa State- May 28, 2025

In fulfillment of its mandate, the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Adamawa State Directorate, has launched advocacy initiatives in observance of this year’s Children’s Day.

Led by Deputy Director Benjamin Inuwa, representing State Director Richard Bala Dangari, the NOA team visited ECWA Good News Church and Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) Alheri on Sunday, May 25, 2025, to commence the event.

Speaking at the occasion, Inuwa urged parents and caregivers to prioritize their children’s education while encouraging skill acquisition, aligning with this year’s theme: "Enhance the Total Well-being of the Child Through Quality Education and Skill Development." He stressed the importance of inclusive education and holistic child development.

Additionally, Inuwa sensitized the congregation on the Child Rights Act (2003), a Nigerian law safeguarding children’s welfare. Key provisions include:

- Right to life and survival

- Access to education

- Protection from abuse, neglect, and exploitation

- Right to healthcare

- Prohibition of child labor and trafficking

The Act ensures Nigerian children grow up in a secure and supportive environment.

Concluding his remarks, Inuwa advised children to uphold obedience to parents, teachers, and elders, as emphasized in religious teachings.
