Internal Security: Adamawa CP Intensifies Security Measures in Kopre Village, Hong LGA

In a renewed effort to enhance security, the Adamawa State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), has deployed additional personnel to Kopre Village in Hong Local Government Area. This was contained in a statement released by SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, (ANIPR) Police Public Relations Officer- for the Commissioner of Police.
This move reinforces the command’s collaboration with sister security agencies, particularly the military, to curb violent crimes, safeguard lives and property, and recover illegal firearms.
The reinforcement follows an ambush by heavily armed assailants on hunters and civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) members late on 26th April 2025 in Kopre, a border community with Borno State.CP Dankombo Morris charged the deployed officers to exhibit professionalism, tactical efficiency, and swift response as part of strategic measures to prevent further criminal activities. He reiterated the command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of residents.
The operation underscores the effectiveness of intelligence-led policing and the dedication of security personnel in tackling cross-border crime. The Adamawa State Police Command urges the public to remain vigilant and support law enforcement by providing timely and actionable information to aid crime prevention efforts.
