Fintiri: The Man They Could Not Stoo

Yola, Adamawa State- April 18, 2025

Many chapters, episodes, articles and books have been written, is been written and would be written about the man who defiles odds, made history and change narratives in Adamawa state. The name " Fintiri" stands as a constant reminder of how the echoes of a leader can reviberate through communities that is result oriented. Dr. Akeweta Emmanuel JP is one of many whose craftiness beam the light on a work of a friend about a friend.

I am deeply humbled and profoundly grateful to Kumangar Solomon  for this monumental piece that not only captured the essence of leadership in turbulent political times but also illuminated the core convictions that inspired my article, “Dead on Arrival: The Unlikely Coalition of Atiku, Binani, and Abbo in Adamawa 2027.”

Your words, Brother Kumangar, are not just a compliments, they are a validation. A validation of truth, courage, and the undying commitment to a people who now stand at the center of their own political destiny. I am moved by the grace with which you echoed the heartbeat of Adamawa and elevated the conversation beyond rhetoric into a realm of purpose and patriotism.

You have wielded the pen not as an observer, but as a force, a sculptor of narrative and a steward of legacy. This write-up is not merely a defense of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri; it is a declaration. A declaration that governance can still be noble, that leadership can still be people-centered, and that the will of the people is the ultimate mandate no coalition can override.

Your in-depth contextualization of Adamawa’s political transformation is brilliant. Your ability to distill complexity into clarity, and emotion into eloquence, is simply top-notch. You have not just chronicled history; you have etched a movement into memory.

From your fiery metaphors to your factual depth, from your journalistic integrity to your poetic precision, this piece reads like prophecy, one destined to echo far beyond today’s headlines. You didn’t just support a viewpoint; you lit a torch that illuminates the path of a new political awakening.

Let me say it again: I am honoured. Honoured to have my thoughts form part of a broader conversation you have so masterfully amplified. And even more honored to call you a brother in ink, in thought, and in the pursuit of truth.

In a time when silence is often easier than conviction, thank you for choosing the harder, nobler path, to speak boldly, and to write timelessly.

Together, we continue to hold the line. For the people. For posterity. For truth.
