FAKE VIO ARRESTED FOR IMPERSONATION AND JOB RACKETEERING IN YOLA

Yola, Adamawa State- April 24, 2025

On the 22nd of April, 2025, operatives of the Command attached to State intelligent Department (SID) acted on credible intelligence and apprehended a female identified as Face Samuel, a resident of Army Barracks Road, Yola North local government area this was contained in a statement released by the Command's Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje.

According to the statement, the suspect on several occasions impersonated  a Vehicle Inspection Officer (V.I.O) and defrauded the following persons: Blessing Kefas, Abel Samuel, Evlyne Amos, and Friday Adamu the sum of three hundred and fifty thousand (₦350,000), under the pretense of securing employment for them with the Vehicle Inspection Office, Ministry of transportation in Adamawa State.

The statement further revealed that, the suspect confessed committing the crime and further disclosed that the V.I.O's uniform used in the fraudulent act was given to her by yet to be identified person 

In the meantime, the commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, Psc(+), urge members of the public to report people of such character, assured of diligent Investigation to uncover other possible victims and collaborators involved in the crime.
