Adamawa Works & Energy Commissioner Adamu Atiku Abubakar Leads Inspection Tour of Ongoing Projects in Yola North

 

Yola, Adamawa State- April 30, 2025

The Adamawa State Commissioner for Works and Energy Development, Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar, alongside his ever-active and committed team from the Ministry, embarked on an inspection tour of ongoing infrastructural projects across Yola North on Tuesday.

The tour covered several strategic project sites where the Commissioner expressed satisfaction with both the quality and pace of work. He noted that contractors were maintaining commendable standards and progressing steadily within the agreed timelines.

Projects inspected during the tour included the expansion of Galadima Aminu Way and the Underpass at Fire Service, Jimeta; the extension of the storm water drainage system from FGGC fence to Air Force Comprehensive Secondary School, Jimeta; the road network development at the Federal Housing Unit, Jimeta; and the flagship 20.8 km Adamawa Super Highway and the Half Clover Leaf Flyover, among others.

“We are impressed with what we have seen so far. The level of progress reflects a strong commitment to excellence, and we are confident that these projects will be delivered within the stipulated timeframe,” Hon. Abubakar remarked during the tour.

He emphasized that these projects are integral to the Urban Renewal Programme of the administration of His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The programme is aimed at transforming urban centers, attracting investment, and driving economic growth throughout the state.

“These efforts are not just about physical infrastructure—they are about laying the foundation for a better future, stimulating economic activity, and improving the quality of life for our people. We remain fully committed to infrastructure delivery that aligns with the aspirations of the citizens and the sustainable development goals of Adamawa State,” he added.

The inspection underscores the Ministry’s proactive oversight and the government’s unwavering dedication to delivering impactful, people-centered development.
